GL’s action plan to US different: UNP

23 May 2012 09:02 am - 7     - {{hitsCtrl.values.hits}}

The United National Party (UNP) said today the Lessons Learnt and Reconciliation Commission (LLRC) action plan presented by External Affairs Minister G.L Peiris in Washington was different to the one presented in Sri Lanka.

He asked why the government had not revealed its real action plan.

UNP Vice President Lakshman Kiriella said the action plan based on LLRC recommendations should have been discussed with civil society organisations and debated in parliament as it was the constitutional right of parliament and the people to be informed of such important decisions.
