Some people saw LTTE terrorism in the same way; but solved ultimately. Likewise this bus-mafia can also be tamed in a right manner soon!

Mr. President, Government, ministers, opposition members and the bus owners can make any decisions. But end of the day the biggest looses are people. They have no say in it.

This is the also the only country where the cost of living rises uncontrollably and the govt does not increase your salaries and tells you to manage on the same income year after year.

Once local election ends you could increase any amount. Now its a lost battle. With the interest you will get the hike after the election

Is MR the acronym for Mighty Ruler?
Steve Sunday, 09 January 2011 08:17 PM
Why should anyone even bother with these private bus owners. Let the SLTB take over this crises and it will show the private bus owners their service is not really required.

MR won't mind as intervening is one of his favourite pass-times.
asoka abeywardena Sunday, 09 January 2011 08:18 AM
No, not the president, Gota should intervene this problem.

The minister of transport has bragged the he will bring out the whole SLTB fleet comprising of air conditioned bused to meet the demand of traffic should the private bus operators stop work. Now is the time for the minister to show his fleet of SLTB buses to the public.
