SriLankan Airlines said today its management has taken steps to rectify the issue where President Maithripala Sirisena was treated to some cashews which were not fit for human consumption.

President Sirisena had complained at a farmers' event at Hambantota yesterday that during a recent trip with Sri Lankan Airlines, he was treated to some cashews which were not fit for human consumption.

If no good why he ate???.according to airline news,he has eaten all.

No Where Wednesday, 12 September 2018 08:12 AM

NO where it was stated that President ate. It is your assumption.

    Saradiel Tuesday, 11 September 2018 07:14 PM

Why did he waited till a farmers event to make an issue? Being the president should have made a complaint then and there and taken it up with the management on arrival. He has enough staff to do this on behalf of him. May be he wants others also to get the news from the morning papers like he does :)

Saradial you are correct, why didnt he complain to the managment, the farmers are not running the airline. This has tarnished the name of the Airline internationally

If this had happened to late Hon.R.P, he would have summoned the officers responsible and reprimanded them and there.

Because, Hambantota farmers are now flying on Sri Lankan frequently with their produce. Can you remember someone earlier promised Hambantota mallilaa that they can take their produce and fly overseas to sell them?

Once again our President has served the country proud. Another burning issue in Sri Lankan business class has been solved. Next please look into the buns on the KFC zinger, they are normally a little stale. If you can do this you will surely win over the common man.

Any hope left? Tuesday, 11 September 2018 08:46 PM

Is there any hope left to this bankrupt airlines anymore? The rogues have seemed to escape leaving a broken airline.

    Sincere Tuesday, 11 September 2018 08:57 PM

Sir, How often can you please check the quality their food served on flights?

    Wimal Wednesday, 12 September 2018 11:16 AM

Food is ok but the seats are very uncomfortable and very poor quality entertainment

    Senewi Wednesday, 12 September 2018 10:31 AM

If you eat some thing in the morning with out cleaning your mouth ,you might feel a bad taste.

    Rudra Wednesday, 12 September 2018 10:52 AM

Each and every complaint made by passengers must be treated as if the President himself made the complaint.Rudra

    Johny Wednesday, 12 September 2018 10:58 AM

Shiiraan Nooramith Wednesday, 12 September 2018 01:26 PM

Johny would have thought the silica to be Salt.
