CH and FC have strengthened their third row ahead of the Inter-Club League Rugby Tournament which is set to be kicked of later this year as they have signed number eight Nivanka Prasad who will join the likes of Sudhrashana Muthuthanthri and Yoshitha Rajapaksa.
Prasad had a phenomenal 2015/2016 season for Navy Sports Club which earned himself a call-up for the national team to make his debut at the Asia Rugby Championship, but the third rower was hardly involved in last inter-club season for Navy Sports Club due to injuries.
"He is an excellent player and we have full faith in him. He could be a very important part of our squad," CH management said of their latest recruitment.
The Maitland Crescent Club had earlier secured the signings of centre Hirantha Perera and scrum-half Sudam Parinda in their attempt bring back the glory days.
