Hanguranketha man breaks Guinness Record for most iron bars bent
Janaka Kanchana Mudannayaka of Pallebowala Hanguranketha has established a new Guinness record by bending 22 concrete iron bars with a circumference of 12mm in 48 seconds.
Kanchana, a Sri Lanka Ports Authority (SLPA) employee, set the record yesterday (21) at the Kandy Municipal vehicle park premises, breaking the existing record set by Armenian National Armon Edison, who bent 18 iron bars similar in size in 60 seconds.
Kanchana, who is aiming for 18 Guinness records in total, has already achieved three with this record. His achievement has been sent for official confirmation to the World Guinness Committee, it was confirmed.
