GSP+ next week: President

President Maithripala Sirisena said today that Sri Lanka would definitely receive the GSP+ concession from the European Union by next week.

In his speech after declaring open the Dodanwala Bridge at Haloluwa in Kandy, the President said he had received information about regaining GSP+ next week and said it would revitalize the industrial and export sectors of the country.

He reiterated that the government was able to build strong bilateral relationships with foreign States by removing barriers that the county had faced in the past.
