In case any sort of redress underming the decision of earlier magistrate , it will be certainly tantamount to injustice and no justice prevailed in this Buddhist country against a notorious moron in the guise of a pious monk.
hb Friday, 15 June 2018 02:28 PM
Lets all pray and hope the high court gives the verdict extending his stay in the state sponsored lodge.
Rasheed Friday, 15 June 2018 02:44 PM

It's a shame that lawyers who study to protect the law of a land ensure justice work harder to release a criminal. What kind of moral values and ethics do you lawyer's follow?
COUNSELS Friday, 15 June 2018 03:32 PM
Either the counsels are serving the VENERABLE free of charge - OR - pray - . who is the well wisher behind the scenes meeting the hefty cost of lawyer's fees

What is the function of Ministry of Buddhist affairs? Why our Mahanaykas do not take necessary action to control these unruly monks? Being a buddhist I am really disappointed about behavior of these monks.
Jesus Sunday, 17 June 2018 12:41 PM

It is pitty to see that people call Sinhalese join hands with Hamba people to attack their own buddhist monk weather he is right or wrong. No other religious people do this. Ape hamuduruwane Sinhalayo kiyanne megollantaya.
hb Friday, 15 June 2018 04:58 PM

I do not approve this bhanthe’s actions but he is the only one who talk about the mainstream buddhists. He bit compulsive but his intentions best regarded for our country. Everyone giving into the international pressure. Mainly the GTF. Bhanthe Gghnasara did not meant bad for Muslim’s, he only was against the ones who distroy our country for the GSP. Real criminals roaming around. This bhanthe is bit emotional but he really doesn’t hate anyone. There are so many against him. Truth will come out. Everyone scared to speak for their nation but bhanthe did not. He will have strength to go through this tough time. We are with you Hamuduruwane. Eknaligoda family betrayed Sinhalese and gang up with Sudda to betray the Sinhala nation. People who comment on bhanthe here do not know our history we had a darkest histrory under the English, They are so humanistic now their history very dark, unfortunate thing is our younger generation donor know our history,

Gnanasara did not work for Buddhism and it’s people, instead he brought disgrace to the Bhudist word.Justice has been done at last for his ‘performance’.
Martin Milton Sunday, 17 June 2018 06:23 PM
What on earth are the Malwatte and Asgiriya Mahanayakes doing while this Buddhist monk is being terrorised by Government authorities? True, he may have done something wrong BUT this punishment does NOT suit and is perverse in the extreme for such a trivial incident. What terribly poor judgment in the extreme! Let us hope sensibility prevails in the Appeal Court for Heavens' sake. MM
