politicians use these innocent students for their own survival and students never realize this until they start their real life. When they realize it, it's too late. Most of the time students from low income families get trapped.

What are these Bunch of Morons trying to do or show by attacking a innocent student who walked into the University, i personally condemn this act these Morons should be more civilized rather than attacking a innocent student. or else why the hell can't they attack those moron students who fight in the Kelaniya University. they should go show their fights with those fellows who ruin the university.

This prevailing democrazy in Sri Lanka. In a democratic society no one should act aganst the law and human freedom. However, crab has time until water get warm and is just like the cart which follow the bull.

At the outset in my openion the free education should be stopped forth with. Introduce a fee for every semister. This fee is applicable whether the Unis are opened or closed due riots by any individual.Thery have to make the payment even if it closed due to riots. This will give a thought for these people to think before starting any problem which would cause to close down the Unies.
The whole problem is such a valuable service to the nation free of charge.

parents as well as student don't adhere to Law and order of this country. This is disgusting. Something wrong with the country's law and order or something wrong with this generation of Srilanka .
Also politicians no matter which party the represent should stand away from these conflicts without pouring petrol into blazing fire for their mere political agendas

Knight Rider Thursday, 28 October 2010 03:33 AM

yes I agree with Huebert silva,The free education systems is highly abused. The students will make every effort to complete their studies successfully only when the pay with their hard earned money as they do when they enter foreign universities.

I think the better way around this is to bring in a policy of no nonsense "STUDY OR GET OUT" this is guaranteed to work.

Law and Order in this Country is maintained by the hooligans of Mervin Silva not by the Police. If there is a judiciary in this Country Warrants should be issued to all that could be seen in this video. On the contrary Our Attorney General will say there is no such assault and above all Supreme Court will say that Fundamental Right action cannot be exercised against the Police as offenders were private individuals. This Supreme Court has forgotten what great judges like Mark Fernando and A.R.B Amarasinghe decided. When there is no independent judiciary this kind of actions take place. We know there are judges going after this kind of politicians to get their private benefits.
