Kumon Dehiwala Learning Centre announces expansion plans

Kumon is the world’s largest after school math and English enrichment programme and has been helping many children excel globally for over 60 years. The Kumon Method is an individualized method that helps children learn Maths and reading concepts based on their ability rather than their age or grade. Kumon Dehiwala Learning Centre has been in service for the past five years and has been persistently working towards upholding the high quality standards expected of the Kumon centre franchise.

Kumon Dehiwala Learning Centre officially entered its second phase of expansion rceently and was declared open under the patronage of its franchisee, Mrs.Femidah Wahid, who has hands on experience both nationally and internationally on early childhood and pre school education for over 27 years.

From a very humble beginning in 2014, Kumon Dehiwala Learning Centre has grown in size and importance, gradually establishing itself as a locally and internationally recognized learning centre.he institute is one of the first upscale Kumon centres with modern architecture and is in fact the first amongst 140 centres across Kumon India and Sri Lanka to physically transform and revolutionize itself, while ensuring the centre’s new home bears clear resemblance to the 60 year old supplementary learning method.

The new venue is a five-storied building with an area of 6000 sq ft., having facilities to cater to the education needs of over 100 students in one space across its various sections. The centre also offers security services and parking facilities to its students.

The Kumon Dehiwala Learning Centre boasts has trained team of approximately 30 instructors to cater to the needs of its students. It is also equipped with a spacious play area where children can engage in recreation after the completion of their day’s activities, while their parents are able to occupy the adjoining space, referred to as the waiting area.

The education centre plays an important role in developing a child’s independent learning skills in Maths and English and helps them to study with ease, whilst being able to study above his/her present school grade. What’s more, the new facilities planned for this venue is specially designed to better enhance a child’s learning capacity.
