Two arrested with 122.2kg of Kerala cannabis Two people were arrested by the Navy with 122.2kg of Kerala cannabis during a patrol carried out in the sea between Madagal and Kovilam Point on Saturday.
The Northern Naval Command, whilst conducting a patrol in the sea between Madagal and Kovilam Point, had spotted a suspicious dinghy and recovered the consignment of cannabis.
Subsequently, the suspects were arrested by the Navy.
The suspects along with the seized consignment of cannabis and dinghy were handed over to the Police Narcotic Bureau in Jaffna for further investigation.
