In addition to severe difficulties which are being faced by the public, they may have to face a serious fuel price hike around the month of May, former UNP Minister Vajira Abeywardena said.

He said the present government had come to power deceiving the pubic and asking for a majority in parliament after the General election.

Even they are unable to control the skyrocketing prices of vegetable and other essential commodities, he said.

The incumbent government may increase the price of Petrol by Rs.40, Diesel by Rs.50 and Kerosene by Rs.80 around the month of May where the Wesak celebration takes place.

He lamented that these are the relief measures the present government had promised the people. (Chaturanga Samarawickrama)

Now, come on. You can fool some people some time, not all the people all the time.

So only now you think of the public. Since you have been kicked out of power. For so many years where were you and what did you do for the poor. You only filled your pockets. This is what the majority of the UNF did. Now crying crocodile tears.

No surprise there. Election promisess quickly forgotten. Petrol prices up,gas prices up. Back to the previous Radjapaksa period. Now give with one hand, later take back with two hands. Politics is the same all over the world.
