Sein Anzar Mohamed Rinaz, a member of the National Thowheed Jamath (NTJ) has been arrested by the Terrorist Investigation Division (TID) when he attempted to leave the country, Police Spokesman SP Ruwan Gunasekera said.
He said the suspect was arrested at the Bandaranaike International Airport yesterday morning.
The suspect, who was a resident of Mawanella, had NTJ militant training in Nuwara Eliya.
He was brought to Colombo and detained for further questioning, the spokesman said.(Darshana Sanjeewa Balasuriya)
