Two receive death penalty

  

The Colombo High Court yesterday imposed the death penalty on P. Don Nilanka and K. Pradeep Samantha for the murder of A, Dimuthu Dilrukshana Silva of Dehigahapitiya on July 1, 1998. According to the indictment, the deceased had gone to a nearby boutique to buy some household goods and the two accused attacked him with a pole before fatally stabbing him.

There is no death sentance in S.L.It should be termed "LIFE IMPRISONMENT" LIABLE for parole on Poson,Vesak,Independance days.
