Prime Minister D.M. Jayaratne is seen paying homage to the Buddhist monks at the 27th commemoration of the Aranthalawa massacre at the Aranthalawa Bhikku Monument.33 Buddhist monks and four civilians were killed by LTTE terrorists in Arantalawa 27 years ago.

Asgiri Chapter’s Mahanayaka Most Ven. Udugama Sri Buddharakkitha Thera and the Chief incumbent of the Sri Pada Ven. Bengamuwe Dhammadinna Thera were also participated in the memorial.Pix by Wasantha Chandrapala
