Police used tear gas to disperse a protest march by Inter-University Students Federation (IUSF) at the Fort area, Colombo yesterday. The march commenced from the Kelaniya University against the ‘privatization of free education’ was heading towards the Presidential Secretariat when they came under the police assault, students claimed. ISUF are the future leaders of this nation. They must develop the art of negotiations. Protest marches are a hindrance to society and they therefore loose all sympathy.
