Mosque prayers islandwide will resume next week though the government allowed places of worship to open for public from Friday 12. An official at the Dawatagaha Mosque said they were still in the process of making arrangements in line with COVID-19 regulations to conduct prayers, and that the process would be completed by next week. Muslim mosques are the most crowded places of worship in the world. Washing up (Audu) before prayers is going to spread covid 19. The govt should not allow congregatery prayers on Friday’s until further notice. Why can’t they pray at home for a little longer. Traffic snarl is at its worst on day jumma days.

It would be great if you can find the guidline given by the wakf board and ACJU Sri Lanka.. it clearly mentions Washing up (Audu) will not be allowed and the worshippers must bring their own prayer mats! I think that will answer your concern. besides the government has allowed only 50 u till further notice.. Do a bit of research before commenting like this next time.. Peace!
