Chesa Swiss awarded 2015 TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence

Chesa Swiss Restaurant in Colombo has been awarded the 2015 TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence. The award celebrates excellence in hospitality and is given only to establishments that consistently achieve great reviews on TripAdvisor. Certificate of Excellence winners include accommodations, eateries and attractions located all over the world that have continually delivered a superior customer experience.
The world’s largest travel site – TripAdvisor – has been helping travellers plan and book trips for 15 years. The company now spans more than 45 countries and had more than 2.5 billion unique visitors during 2014. When selecting Certificate of Excellence winners, TripAdvisor uses a proprietary algorithm to determine the honourees that take into account the quality, quantity and recency of reviews and opinions submitted by travellers on TripAdvisor over a 12-month period as well as business’ tenure and ranking on the Popularity Index on the site. To qualify, a business must maintain an overall TripAdvisor bubble rating of at least four out of five, have a minimum number of reviews and must have been listed on TripAdvisor for at least 12 months.

Chesa Swiss has remained under the same management and housed in the same ancestral bungalow in Colombo 3 since opening in 1991. Throughout its 24 years, the heritage restaurant has earned a reputation for quality – authentic Swiss and European cuisine coupled with impeccable personalised service presented in a relaxed setting. The restaurant serves traditional Swiss classics of fondue, raclette and rösti as well as signature imported meat dishes such as the sliced veal, rack of lamb and steaks. In addition, there is a wide selection of soups, salads, seafood and desserts. It is the only establishment in the country selling exclusive Swiss wines.
