The government has extended all visas of foreigners in the country till July 11, as many were unable to get an appointment before the previous deadline of June 11, the country’s immigration office said.
All foreigners should get an appointment from the following online link: https://eservices.immigration.gov.lk/vs.
Fines have been waived but relevant visa extension fees have to be paid.
If any foreigner is leaving the island, the relevant visa fees could also be paid at the airport, without a fine.
Inquiries for visit visas could be made through the following emails: acvisa1@immigration.gov.lk; acvisa2@immigration.gov.lk; acvisa@immigration.gov.lk.
Inquiries for resident visas could be made through the following email: dcvisa@immigration.gov.lk.
Telephone number 070–7101050 will be manned between 0900 and 1600 hours.
