Sri Lanka’s premier Printing and Packaging exporter, Printcare Plc, was honoured at the Presidential Export Awards this week with two awards in the Printing category for 2014 and 2015.
The awards, presented at a ceremony at which President Maithripala Sirisena was Chief Guest, recognised Printcare as the largest exporter of printing services from Sri Lanka for the past two years.
Printcare ended the 2015/16 financial year with Profits before tax growing by 13 percent to Rs. 425 million from Rs. 376 million from the year before. A slightly depressed global economy, underpinned by low commodity prices, Russia’s geo-political and economic woes, China’s economic realignment, and conflicts in the Middle East impacted the Group’s topline growth.
Revenues for the year increased by 2 percent to Rs. 5,165 million. However, the group improved profitability by focusing on increased value addition in its export orders and its niche print products. “Our ability to collaborate with our customers, to understand their needs, and win together has been instrumental in growing stakeholder value,” commented K.R. Ravindran, Managing Director of Printcare.
“Our growth in profits last year, and our success over the years have been driven by our ability to go the extra mile and continuously deliver innovative high quality products and exceptional service, to our customers,” said M.J. Fernando, Chairman.
