Foreign investors to take part in ‘Sri Lanka Investment Business Conclave 2017’

Foreign investors already registered to take part in the upcoming Sri Lanka Investment and Business Conclave 2017 have shown interest in the areas of agriculture, export manufacturing, infrastructure development, port development, power and energy, telecommunications and related services and tourism and leisure. 
The registered participants have also shown keenness to explore investment opportunities in sectors such as distribution of petroleum-related products such as liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) and liquefied natural gas (LNG), recycling of waste, export services, apparels and knowledge services. 
The conclave organised by the Ceylon Chamber of Commerce (CCC) will take place from May 30 to June 1, 2017, at Cinnamon Grand, Colombo and is conducted in association with the Development Strategies and International Trade, Foreign Affairs, Finance and Trade and Commerce Ministries, Board of Investment of Sri Lanka, Sri Lanka Export Development Board, Sri Lanka Convention Bureau (SLCB) and Commerce Department.
Sri Lanka’s diplomatic missions located overseas, 127 chambers of commerce, which the Ceylon Chamber has partnerships, International Trade Centre in Geneva, JETRO Colombo, World Chambers Network Paris, Confederation of Asia Pacific Chambers of Commerce and Industry (CACCI) and Beijing Lansing Overlook International Exhibition Co. Ltd of China are also supporting the promotion of the conclave across the globe.
Organised for the second consecutive year, the event will provide potential foreign investors with an overall outlook of Sri Lanka’s investment climate and also make room for establishing links between both local and foreign investors taking part in the event. 
Zam Gems come in as the Gold sponsor, CHEC Port City Colombo (Pvt.) Ltd as the Silver sponsor, Cinnamon Life as Bronze sponsor whilst International Finance Corporation as the Knowledge partner. London Stock Exchange is coming forward as the Innovation partner.
The conclave website www.invest-srilanka.lk designed by Lanka Communication Services (Pvt.) Ltd, which is the Communication partner of the event, facilitates participants to register and schedule business-to-business (B2B) meetings online. 
In order to facilitate participants to access their user accounts during the event, E-W Information Systems (Pvt.) Ltd will provide all IT-related equipment required at the Conclave 2017 venue as official IT partner. Hertz Car Rental has been appointed as the official Travel partner, while SriLankan Airline is the official Airline partner and will provide discounted airfares for foreign delegates.
