Water cut reduced to 12 hours

The scheduled 36 hour water cut in Colombo and its suburbs was reduced to 12 hours from 8am to 8pm on Sunday , Minister of Water Supply and Drainage Dinesh Gunawardena said.

The areas affected by the revised water cut are - Homagama, Kesbawa, Boralasgamuwa, Meepe and Godagama and Maharagama Municipal Council, Colombo, Maharagama, Kotte, Kolonnawa, Dehiwala – Mount Lavinia Municipality areas, Peliyagoda, Wattala Mabola, Kesbewa, Boralesgamuwa Municipality areas, Ja-Ela, Kelaniya, Wattala, Mahara, Dompe, Biyagama, Kotikawatta, Mulleriyawa Municipality areas and Kaldemulla, Soysapura, Telawala (Moratuwa Municipality areas), Kaduwela municipal council area Battaramulla, Hokandara, Malabe and Biyagama free economic zone and Malwana areas.

The interruption of water supply would be due to urgent renovations of the Ceylon Electricity Board

They cut the water supply for renovations of the Electricity Board. Only happens in Sri Lanka.

So this 'urgent renovations' is going to be done partly - it won't be complete job, and we might have some electricity problem in future? Or, did the guys give a over-estimate initially?
