The newly formed United National Front (UNF) and the Janatha Vimukthi Peramuna (JVP) have committed themselves to a common programme on certain matters - that is to be implemented whatever party among them wins the next parliamentary election -  in the event of Opposition Common Candidate Gen. Sarath Fonseka being elected to the presidency on January 26

The common minimum programme in this regard will be launched on January 7, and it will be Gen. Fonseka’s policy document on which he will base his election campaign. (KB)
