A Colombo Court today further remanded a Ukrainian couple who allegedly committed the murders of a 7 year old Uzbekistan boy and the baby sitter while inflicting knife cut injuries to the boy’s mother at Nawala on February 28.
When the matter was taken up for inquiry Sergeant Vijithananda of Welikada Police informed the Magistrate that the boy’s mother, Victoria Kim was present in court to give evidence in the magisterial inquiry.
The counsel appearing for the Ukrainian couple submitted that that the couple wish to grant a Power of Attorney in the name of their instructing Attorneys Wellappili Associates to transact on their properties in Ukraine and to deal with their belongings at No 2/2, Majestic Apartments, Station Road Bambalapitiya, Colombo.
The Counsel pleaded to grant permission to the suspects to sign the concerned Power of Attorney.
On considering the submissions the Magistrate fixed the recordings of evidence of Victoria Kim in the afternoon and postponed the order on the counsel’s plea for April 19.
