Thunder showers in Colombo tonight?

The Met Department has warned that there is a possibility of thunder showers in Colombo around 9 pm tonight as a result of the current inter-monsoon conditions.

The T-20 World Cup finals between Sri Lanka and the West Indies is to be played tonight starting from 7.30 pm, at the R. Premadasa Stadium. (Yohan Perera)

Absolutely correct. We have noticed it many times. They can somewhat accurately mention only the temperature and the rain fall experienced on the previous day.

We need rain not only in Colombo but also in other parts of the country. The fields in the central and eastern provinces are dry. Soon it will be time to sow the seeds and rain is needed. Who care about cricket, we need rain. I hope the med department whose predictions are wrong is correct this time.
