WHAT IS MORE IMPORTANT TO REGULATE IS WEIGHT OF A HOPPER, AMOUNT OF INGREDIENTS OF A CUP OF TEA.................. QUALITY OF MATERIAL ,........ METHOD OF MAKING ETC. AT LEAST HOPPERS SHOULD NOT BE TRANSPARENT.

Good move. The traders have reaped the maximum benefit out of the price reductions and now its time to pass on part of the reduction to the consumers. Also they should have specified the minimum volume to be atleast 200ml.

    NW Thursday, 19 March 2015 06:52 PM

Definitely a step in the right direction. The role of the consumer affairs authority had been non existent for a long time. Sad to see some people have nothing positive to say about anything good that happens in this country. via DM Android App

    What about 3 wheel charges?

Cedric Van Friday, 20 March 2015 04:54 PM

This price regulation is for canteens only. Restaurants etc have higher overheads for rent, wages etc and as such the price of items sold will vary. The regulations are too broad as it does not give specifics of volume of tea ( cup size) and weight of hopper etc.

    Aha Thursday, 19 March 2015 08:12 PM

Watch the hopper get smaller or disappear altogether - watch the tea become weaker and in smaller cups watch the milk just be sprinkled on top. You have to specify the product in detail when what applying price guides.
