The Eastern Province Court of Civil Appeals has issued summons on Chief Minister Sivanesathurai Chandrakanthan and other respondents after they missed a court date regarding a case filed by the former Chairman of the Trincomalee UC S. Gourie Muhundan.
Justice S. Thyagendran ordered the Court Fiscals to deliver the notice personally to the respondents. The former UC Chairman has filed a petition against the Chief Minister and other respondents for removing him from his post. (Daily Mirror online)
