Sri Lanka beat Australia by nine runs, in a thriller to qualify for the CB series best of three finals today. The Sri Lankans batting first scored 238 runs in their allotted 50 overs. The Australians replying could only muster 229 being bowled out in the 49th over.

Despite all conditions laid out by the Australian-Indian match organisers, Sri Lanka leaped over all the hurdles and conditions and reached the Finals. I am sure that our boys will get over that hurdle as well. Well done Sri Lanka Cricket! No power on earth could go above the "reality" and the "truth".

If you praise only the captain after the victory then he must be blamed after a defeat.This is a team game.Even Dilshan would have done better seniors and the vice captain gave him the support.

It reflects that someone has pulled the legs of Sri Lankan team in the last match. Even Mahela indirectly mentioned it that they do not need to favour anyone to fight for this match.

in that game india were desperate, true pitch, very short boundary in one side, ace bowler had a terrible outing and above all our master tactician had an off day

not being able to get the support is your fault, not anyone else. dilshan is not a leader and mahela is, plain simple. mahela is to be blamed for several tatical errors, e.g. not giving malinga another over after sachin's wicket, not taking the PP then etc. he was blamed, don't forget that.

A word about this crowd today. The Sri Lankans turned up in large numbers and made themselves heard. There was music, dancing and a lot of good cheer. More than one person compared the atmosphere to what you'd find at the Premadasa.Bye Bye India

Well Done to Mahela and team. This was an excellant comeback after the horror show in last match. As Sri lankans we are not having a happy time at the moment because of all the issues re; the economy and politics. But this surely will lift our spirits. I thank the cricketers for that.

Not realy. Is the same reason that india chased over 300 runs in less than 40 overs. Did MJ do anything special in this win. If Dilshan had not taken last 2 catches we would have lost the game.

Well done Sri Lanka team. The only thing that the people are enjoying in this country is the cricket team doing well and keeping the people happy by playing good cricket. I hope the Politicos and the Cricket committee will not try to steal this honour from the cricket team The large sri lankan fans from Australia who turned out to cheer the team. was a;sp responsible for our win.
