well sanath, you fight for your rights and dignity . Be ashamed to even make a statement as this .it is no surprise you speak in this tone as you are another cricketer who played for money and not for pride.(not in the initial stages of course till you were bought over by the corrupt BCCI)
salla Monday, 17 February 2014 06:26 AM
sanath, just read your statement and indeed ashamed of what you have said as a Sri lankan.suggest you just stick to cricket and leave the intelligent official who are not corrupt to make the right call would really like to see Arjuna in the board to ensure that the game prevails rather than greed in the SLC board.

Arjuna's fighting spirit and leadership on display. He believes he can stand up to even BCCI. That is why we won in 96. Not even Sanath but Mahela and sanga would dare to oppose BCCI. And that is why they could not win a World Cup. We need big thinkers as captain. Not BCCI worshipers.

Gentlemen of Arjuna, Aravinda and others of that era are long gone. Now r the money greedy and selfish ones. for them, their wallet matters more than their motherland. via DM Android App

Well said Salla. Thank god that Sanath was not captain when Murali was no balled for chucking. We would have lost a great spinner from the game. Sanath you should be ashamed of your self. No one is larger than the game.

Only time will tell if the move has worked for the better or for the worse. Personally speaking i feel no country should be monopolising the governing body. Sadly capitalism has spread into sport too.

Obviously, Sanath is there where money is, and money - and loads of it - is now with Indian cricket. So, he is literally dancing to the Indian tune! (we have seen it on Indian TV too) Let us now write the Obituary for RIP Cricket (Born: 1598 Dead 2014) Invented by Englishmen; Mastered by Aussies; Styled by Caribbeans, Spiced by Lankans; Killed by Indians.
