At least now the President of Sri Lanka can visit the UK honourably berfitting the head of a country, without the issues faced on a previous visit some years ago.

CONGRATULATIONS MR. SIRISENA WE ARE SO PROUD AND HAPPY. The comment above from MM is stupid as our Peoples President Mr. Maithripala Sirisena does not need a translator as his English is excellent. However, even if he did not know English no worries as our Language is Sinhala.

    Kamal-USA Friday, 27 February 2015 06:30 PM

Hey anybody here could elaborate why all hell broke loose when MR went there or for that matter any western country...And in all those protests and massive demonstrations there were hardly any whites blacks or any other, other than the folks and their ilk who fled this country. And if MS is not interrupted then somethings sure aint right!!

    Patriot Friday, 27 February 2015 07:04 PM

Something is wrong with Kamal-USA. I presume he has some connection to the USA... but he wants President to keep imperialistic powers away! You contradict yourself Kamal! :)

    Samantha Saturday, 28 February 2015 09:28 AM

Why would anyone consider that going to UK is a big thing for a Sri Lankan President or even for a normal citizen.UK is a bankrupt country and some Sri Lankans think that going to UK is a big thing. MR was not a puppet and did not listen to them. If he did , the LTTE would have been still around, no development in the country etc etc.

    Jim K Friday, 27 February 2015 07:43 PM

    Good luck for your future.
