Eastern Province Chief Minister Sinavesathurai Chandrakanthan has returned back home and will restart his campaigning in the east this week after he was admitted to hospital with dengue, the TMVP said.

The Chief Minister was airlifted to a private hospital in Colombo from Batticaloa for treatment for dengue fever last week, party sources said.

Chandrakanthan had been treated at the Batticaloa Base Hospital for three days but had to be moved to Colombo after his condition worsened. (JN)
