Nurse strike called off

The strike carried out by nursing staff in several main hospitals in the island was temporary called off taking into consideration the Health Minister’s appeal, President of the Government Nursing Officers Association (GNOA) Saman Rathnapriya said.

The protest was held against the alleged arbitrary transfer of several nurses.  (Daily Mirror online)
