    Thursday, 22 April 2010 05:29 AM

Now ordinary citizen road users will need life insurance because of the Security Convoys given to 225 darlings of the People.

    Thursday, 22 April 2010 05:38 AM

Dont be ungrateful at least for the sake of people enjoying holidays by travelling to any part of the north and east without fear due to this man's strategy!

    Thursday, 22 April 2010 06:19 AM

lets see if at least this parliament with almost 60 new faces can do a better job for the country then what the last parliament did....

    Thursday, 22 April 2010 06:20 AM

All the same, people are entitled to their point of view and there is a very significant portion of the population that care for the country but not by your apparent definition. It works both ways....no one is obligated to revere the government.

Sri Lankans seem to have a poor notion of this but the government is there to serve us. Not vice versa.

    Thursday, 22 April 2010 06:20 AM

    what about his Excellency.

    Thursday, 22 April 2010 05:17 AM

I totally agree with Lankawick... People have spoken and decided what they want. So I guess everyone better respect that and respect themselves and work for the country.

    Thursday, 22 April 2010 07:14 AM

    Well said Lankawick,

PEOPLE SHOULD RESPECT THE VERDICT AND MOVE ON!!
If they fail to deliver, then show them the exit door next time around. THE MAJORITY HAVE SPOKEN!!!

    Thursday, 22 April 2010 08:01 AM

    Thursday, 22 April 2010 10:07 AM

Lets hope these guys will work for the better Sri Lanka in true sri lankan style??

    Thursday, 22 April 2010 10:08 AM

Definitely a "subha anaagathayak" for the MPs and "tightning the belt" for others.

We all want the government to succeed as good citizens but at the same time want a good opposition to make the government accountable. With Ranil at the helm it is wishful thinking!

A true COMPANY scenario. The oldest is in the Chair, the next oldest is the President, the next has disguised himself as Head of the Gestapo, the youngest is in charge of the air above and water around Sri Lanka with a 10 per cent tag and the youngest of the brood 'prince of Hambantota'. Well done.

    Thursday, 22 April 2010 05:10 AM

Fact - Both Presidential & Parliamentary elections won by MR & UPFA.
Fantasy - idiotic comments & utterances by those who hate GOSL - MR. - hoping that Sri Lanka will go "down hill".
Real Life - President MR in power for next 7 years & UPFA in power at least next 6 years.
So get use to it - the Patriotic / Nationalistic people of Sri Lanka has spoken / voted.

    Thursday, 22 April 2010 05:10 AM

Yes more likely good for "yourselves" meaning themselves.

    Thursday, 22 April 2010 05:11 AM

    Well said Naufer
