All Blacks Wednesday, 27 March 2013 07:54 AM

If he is really good than no harm on playing, for t20 we need young bloods. meant boys we need boys.

    fox Wednesday, 27 March 2013 06:37 AM

Take your father with you to ground..in case if you failed he would give the reason...

    Mangala Wednesday, 27 March 2013 07:57 AM

    What happened to SANGA
    ????????????????????????
    What agenda is this

    IOSirisena Wednesday, 27 March 2013 07:57 AM

    batting and bowling figures:
0, 3/32, 20, 0/4,3/23, 1, 1/47, 8* these are however First Class games. Im too lazy to dig up T20 stats on cricinfo. but you can find them just google his name - first result takes you to his cricinfo page.
as they indicate obviously not a batsman. If he's picked based on performances then ok if not it's yet another ugly move by SLC.

    lkboy Wednesday, 27 March 2013 06:43 AM

can u tell me rambukwella's last scores?

    mnsmart Wednesday, 27 March 2013 06:45 AM

Just the opening, yet more to come.............

    Manu Wednesday, 27 March 2013 08:00 AM

kay parker Wednesday, 27 March 2013 09:20 AM

Some children are Rugby kings , why not get one fellow into the national side .... God bless Sri Lanka

    KABAB Wednesday, 27 March 2013 08:01 AM

    Rohan Thursday, 28 March 2013 06:47 AM

Good in what ??? Batting or bowling ??? Thanks to his father.
Can any one tell his club performance ? There are lot better than him waiting to get a place in national squad. Very wrong of selecting him. But this is SRI LANKA

    Athula Wednesday, 27 March 2013 08:02 AM

he will be in" Boys will be Boys" bracket.

    Banda Thursday, 28 March 2013 06:50 AM

Sri Lanka should be suspended from the ICC membership

    Sillypoint Wednesday, 27 March 2013 09:26 AM

Contrary to all these comments, I have a feeling that this boy will come good in the T20, if included in the final eleven which is very unlikely.

    Shafraz Wednesday, 27 March 2013 11:07 AM

    Boys are boys!

    TreeHouse Wednesday, 27 March 2013 06:50 AM

True talent ... lolz. Soon you will be the captain

    Seriously Wednesday, 27 March 2013 06:54 AM

Well, this was expected long time ago. Looks like we are going to lose the hard earned ICC status (By Hon, Gamini Dissanayake) for cricket being politicized in Sri Lanka.

    Inaz Thursday, 28 March 2013 02:31 AM

What is my ambition? Hmmm.... politician! why? Then my children can get anywhere they want through me. hahaha

    HKS Wednesday, 27 March 2013 06:56 AM

    API WENUWEN API!!

Calistus Jayatilleke Wednesday, 27 March 2013 08:08 AM

Nepotism or favouritism ? Or Both? With a politically appointed chairman of selectors, anything is possible. After all the boy was once chosen as Observer School Boy cricketer as well but how he achieved that feat is another story!

    lalm Wednesday, 27 March 2013 12:27 PM

    where is sanga,dilshan

    janaka Wednesday, 27 March 2013 12:27 PM

Chief selector going off his head. Why all of a suddenly. Sanga , Dilhan missing. I am sure we will loss the match.
Good luck for Future SL team with all this idots. Sanath please include Malaka , Namal and son's also in the SL team for 50 Overs match.

Suq Madique Wednesday, 27 March 2013 12:30 PM

Too bad a deserving player had to lose his place to make way for this 'preferred son'

    kaputakukula Wednesday, 27 March 2013 08:18 AM

Let us not jump before the gun! Will wait and see how he would perform.

    saman Wednesday, 27 March 2013 09:56 AM

There are many like you in the country, only have feelings no brain

    firefox Wednesday, 27 March 2013 09:57 AM

    Thaththa wage no-ball karayekda?

    Thushan Thursday, 28 March 2013 02:55 AM

We all know what happened during the SL U-19 tour to Eng, Boys will be boys no :-) He's good alright but maybe not that good to warrant a team selection just yet.

    nuwan Wednesday, 27 March 2013 09:58 AM

he is a good player both at school and club and at A team tours abroad give credit when you have to

    tony Thursday, 28 March 2013 05:05 AM

Malinger is very unpredictable and can even go for 90 in his 4 overs

The God Father Wednesday, 27 March 2013 08:23 AM

Daddy Daddy buy me a bat, a ball and can you also fix me in the cricket team? those were his words, influential father got it all for him, is he lucky or we are unlucky?

    purelankan Wednesday, 27 March 2013 08:23 AM

It's nice to c so many new names in the Squad, but I highly doubt Malinga's maturity to even be named as V/C. I'm not a Malinger hater, but I don't think he's ready.

    tony Thursday, 28 March 2013 05:07 AM

    Aha thats a good one

    raviraj Wednesday, 27 March 2013 10:02 AM

atleast better than being appointed a Minister

    sujeewa p Thursday, 28 March 2013 05:14 AM

son, you get only one chance. hit or hit wicket.

    sujeewa p Thursday, 28 March 2013 05:17 AM

I think we should make a national team of politicos sons to play a different ball game.

    kautilya Wednesday, 27 March 2013 08:36 AM

    Kollo, don't jump from balconies

    weha Wednesday, 27 March 2013 08:39 AM

Ela Malli Wednesday, 27 March 2013 08:43 AM

    he jumps only russians

    Pushkara Wednesday, 27 March 2013 10:32 AM

If you see the statistic,,he scored maximum 20 in one. Like Mavan he had lots of 0''s. you must be his friend, but you can't change statistics.

    Booruwa Wednesday, 27 March 2013 10:34 AM

For his own safty he should not play in Australia to avoid any vulnerability of falling off balconies

    R.Rambukwella Thursday, 28 March 2013 10:30 AM

I told Appatchchi not to put me into SL Cricket team so early. What to do "wayasaka manussayage ashawane".

    R.Dias Wednesday, 27 March 2013 10:37 AM

You know...our pellows do not like to see young guys playing. hik..hik..hik.. Only sana knows his batting..

    lalith Thursday, 28 March 2013 06:03 AM

well done sana.unlike the Royal -Thomian match he will be given out by the international umpires.

Ravin Gunawardena Thursday, 28 March 2013 01:21 AM
