Police media spokesman Prishantha Jayakody said that among the recoveries made were two 16 Bore guns,a locally built pistol, a 5.56mm shot gun and ammunition rounds used for 5.56 mm shot guns and 16 Bore guns.
The owner of the building the weapons were being manufactured was also taken into custody and the police are conducting further investigating into the incident.
Several teams have been deployed in the area to arrest the associates, dealers and customers of the weapons manufactory. (SD)

That man seems to have a rare talent, unfortunately used for wrong purpose. Why the govt. cant recruite him to make weapons for Sri Lanka. That will surely save lots of money.

Govt should encourage them to be an export orientated manufacturer. So many groups who need cost effective supplies.

Howcome he has manufactured 5.56 caliber arms as they were the standard NATO cartridges where not commonly available in SL???
