JVP denies police claims

JVP Parliamentary Group Leader Anura Kumara Dissanayake speaking at a press briefing today rejected charges raised by the police who had said the Ruhunu University student was killed by a JVP student union member.

The JVP claims that the police contradicted its own statement regarding the death of the Ruhunu University student Susantha Aruna Bandara by first saying he died of natural causes and then claiming he was killed.

JVP has never resorted to violence after entering mainstream politics, This particular students mother is threatened by the politicians & police to retract her statement, already the dead boy has given statement to the hospital police, i hope it is not hampered, as the ruling regime is upto all kinds of mischief.
Why nobody speaks about the other boys who got assaulted.

JVP, though a fringe party, can cause immense damage among impressionable young minds, because of their attractive oratory and adventurous event handling. The youth get carried away by their gimmics. But, thanks to near sighted and selfish attitudes of our national leaders, JVP has become a necessary evil.

Practically we know JVP is the trouble maker in the south national universities. Nobody can denie JVP's distructive motivation against peacefull education and democraty in universities.they need to concur and keep prevail JVP hetoric ideology using by force or giving death to the students who usese peace full means and ways to bring and uplift the current education system.Recently JVP;S involvement in university is dramatically increasing and this is a alrm for the government to take immediate action against these perpetraitors.

There are two issues. The death of the student has to be investigated openly because two parties are now accused. With respect to the credibility of JVP, they were the cause of downfall of this country. A real cancer in the sociaty. But if they come forward and agree for reforms, then there is a chance.

Political affiliations for student Unions should be outlawed in Universities and places of learning. Politics should not be introduced to divide the students. Universities should be places of learning like in the Western countries. No wonder any parent who could afford it sends their children abroad for University education do so. Politics has been the bane of education in S/L especially the cantankerous JVP

I belive that uni students should not be involved in politics. They should concentrate in their studies. In european countries uni students are not involved in politics. may be they all are fee paying students.
