Journalist attacked

Kattankudy-based weekly paper Vara Uarikal’s Chief Editor Puvi Rahmathullah was allegedly attacked by an unidentified group this evening.

Chillie powder was thrown into his eyes before being attacked while he was walking in the Kattankudy area. The victim was admitted to the Batticaloa General Hospital.

He also came under attack in 2009 too. (Rifthi Ali)
