SLMC leader Rauff Hakeem was offered a chopper ride by President Mahinda Rajapaksa this afternoon to go to the funeral of the ex-SLFP strongman and former Minister Lakshman Jayakody.

The President’s invitation to the SLMC leader to accompany him to the late minister’s funeral comes days after the SLMC high command decision to support the 18th amendment to the Constitution.

At the funeral house both the President and the SLMC leader had met Chief Opposition whip Joseph Michael Perera and reportedly had a casual chat with him.

Next, he will be offered post of Minister of Ports etc.. but only till the Constitutional changes are passed. Then Hakeem will be spat out into the spittoon like an old cud of beetle!!!!

This is the last opportunity for the Hi flying Hakeem, even the Kandyan Muslims will not vote for him. He was voted to represent the muslims and the UNP. Its the same with Cader from Gampola Last chance, betray your followers and make the maximum for yourselves.

Very soon one of his in law will be flying to a prosperous Middle Eastern country as Ambassador. It's second honeymoon to Hakeem, the lucky guy who gets both sides of his bread buttered all the time.
