Ranjith Page and Mahesh Amalean have been making a great contribution toward economy and employment in sri lanka more than any sri lankan, and they deserve it.

    Friday, 04 June 2010 06:11 AM

Yes , it is recognition and appreciation for their contribution. it will boost there morale and lead for more innovative progress in sri lanka

    Friday, 04 June 2010 06:28 AM

I'm somewhat upset regarding "more than any Sri Lankan".. Harry J, Lalith Kothalawala, et are also there. Also Hayleys, HSBC and other multinational companies have provided such a splendid service to Sri Lanka. Up with the pleasure of a correct act, it may be extreme to exaggerate it..

    Friday, 04 June 2010 06:57 AM

Good. these two gentle giants deserved for their good will gesture - Sirs, keep up the good work

    Friday, 04 June 2010 07:02 AM

Yeah tell us about the contribution by lalith Kothelawala. Then another one should be given to Sakvithi too.

    Friday, 04 June 2010 07:12 AM

This is about single ownership not quoted companies.

They are an asset to the nation which has been brain drained.
    HE, you are truly wonderful!!
    You have given them encouragement.

    Friday, 04 June 2010 07:45 AM

Pity that they ignore Kris Canekeratne, Sri Lankan who build multinational empire known to world than MAS, Cargill’s

    Friday, 04 June 2010 07:48 AM

Yeah I totally agree with you when it comes to Harry J cos his company provides the whole nation with the medicine for amnesia (D.C.S.L)

    Friday, 04 June 2010 07:51 AM

Ajith for your info HE just presented it to them its awarded by CNBC.

    Friday, 04 June 2010 07:55 AM

I would like to point out that both are from the minorities. I hope Sri Lankans realise that it takes ALL races to get this country going. I'm by no means being a racist or trying to incite anybody, but I wish there were more minorites in positions of power in order to give the country more balance in the decision-making processes.

Get these INDIANS out of our country and protect our sovereignty and territorial integrity!
