Secretary General of Parliament Dhammika Kitulgoda today said one more week has been given to Prime Minister and opposition leader to send in the names of their nominee to the Parliamentary Council (PC) to the Speaker while the constitution of the PC has run into further snag as both had failed to nominate their respective nominees until this morning. I can understand the situation. PM cannot nominate untill the King comes and Ranil of cause will nominate somebody who will refuse. Lets bring the 19th amendement to remady the situation.
