The EPDP member who was reported as killed due to a shooting died due to a vehicular accident and not due to a shooting, and this has been confirmed by the postmortem report, Army spokesman Major General Ubaya Madawela told Daily Mirror online.

Earlier when contacted EPDP General Secretary Douglas Devananda said that they were waiting for the postmortem report to determine the cause of the death of its member. (Gandhya Senanayake)
