Death toll due to floods rises to 27

The Disaster Management Centre said that 27 persons were killed and more than 1,055,185 affected due to floods.

At least 47 persons have been injured and 12 persons have gone missing, the DMC said. The authorities have also set up 594 IDP camps in all districts to accommodate, provide dry rations and medical assistance to 361,143 flood victims.

A total of 2890 houses have been completely damaged and 16,029 houses partially damaged. (SD)

    This is as bad as it was during the tsunami. Where is the relief? In Australia the premier flew over flood waters and promised aid. What has this lot done? Nothinging. Who is looking after the victims? Certainly not your elected in parliament.
