Dayasiri summoned for inquiry

UNP Parliamentarian Dayasiri Jayasekara and Ashoka Abeysinghe have been informed to be present at a disciplinary inquiry on March 9 by the UNPs legal secretary.

The disciplinary inquiry has been initiated due to statements made to the media by the two members in the past.

Speaking to the Daily Mirror online MP Dayasiri Jayasekara confirmed that he had heard about the initiation of an inquiry. “The proper procedure was not followed, the normal practice is that such an inquiry has to be initiated by the party’sworking committee but no such approval took place” he said.
