The Asian Development Bank (ADB) and the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) are to suspend funding for the Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery and Corruption, Daily Mirror online has learnt.
The agencies had decided to suspend funding for training and other purposes as the term of the Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery and Corruption had ended yesterday and new members are yet to be appointed.
The term of the three member commission ended yesterday under the 17th Amendment to the Constitution appointments to the Commission must be made on the recommendation of the Constitutional Council and the government is yet to reconstitute the Constitutional Council. (Daily Mirror online)
