I feel sorry for the poor lad. He is undergoing a learning curve, which is effecting his performance. I apportion a part of the blame to that vile woman Jayalalitha. Good luck my son.

What a good alrounder. He is going through a bad patch. I am certain he will perform well at the Champions trophy in UK. He has done well in England in the past. Good luck to him.

To be honest I have read many comments on "cricinfo" and I wonder if its that angelo was really "out of form" OR that he was under a lot of "pressure" as captain and the only way out for him to be back in the team was to give up his captancy. Wonder what part Allan Donald played as if you see certain players like yuvaraj and dinds despte performig below the standered continue to play. FOOD FOR THOUGHT

he should have stayed at home with Chandimal and work on his batting

Mathews never should have gone for IPL he was a very good capt till then....Not to worry Mathews you have a talented bunch to lead when you return home and we have faith in your leadership.......

All cricketers have his good and bad period. This is cricket. A professional cricketer specially a captain should be able to play at any circumstances under pressure Why don't you step down from Sri Lanka team as well and give another up and coming youngster the golden opportunity?

If he had stayed home and do the homework, instead of IPL, he would have focused on his techniques more. This is only a blunder, hope he will realise and rectify it.

He came out GOOD in the last match. He is more aggresive than Fintch. He should be brought back as captain.
