SLTB bus topples killing 1, injuring 13

One woman passenger had been killed and 13 other injured when an SLTB bus toppled at Aranayake early today, the Police said.

The bus was travelling from Mawanella to Aranayaka and had veered off the road and toppled when it tried to negotiate a sharp turn to the Ussapitiya Road on the Mawanella-Aranayake Road.

The Police said that the injured were admitted to the Mawanella Hospital.

so very sad ...as if life wasnt hard enough in Sri Lanka without having crazy stupid bus drivers prepared to risk passengers lives to race to the next stop ...we all know it happens ..so why does it keep happening ..how many more innocents have to die before the government does something about bus drivers and their reckless ways
