Democracy won. That does not mean we want your rule that destroyed our country.

Scooby Doo Tuesday, 13 November 2018 06:57 PM

Yes! This will be the last chance for UNP. I hope they will not misuse it.

    IVJ Tuesday, 13 November 2018 06:49 PM

Mr. PM, while we are happy with the SC ruling, we want to see development in our country. You MUST make sure you do the right thing IF you end up retaining the PM post. If not, you and your golayas better pack up and go home.

De Silva Tuesday, 13 November 2018 06:52 PM

Yes we should reestablish the sovereignty of the people at the same time do it within the party you must give up the leadership honourably

    RAVI Tuesday, 13 November 2018 06:52 PM

Only solution to the current crisis is that the President must resign and go home.

    Lucky Tuesday, 13 November 2018 06:53 PM

The second victory for the people will be when you leave

    Gemunu Tuesday, 13 November 2018 06:54 PM

Great win for all law abiding citizens of Sri Lanka. There is now hope for restoring democracy in Sri Lanka.

    Lokka Tuesday, 13 November 2018 06:55 PM

not the people, the traitors won. let's go for elections to establish peoples' sovereignty.

JK hatton Tuesday, 13 November 2018 06:56 PM

Whatever said and done - one decent politician i ever seen in SL politics, Ranil. Good luck. An aggressive development work is expected from you and DO NOT leave room for issues like central bank.

    Gemunu Tuesday, 13 November 2018 07:14 PM

    One hundred present agreed.

    Victory Tuesday, 13 November 2018 06:57 PM

    Well done sir

    Yusuf Tuesday, 13 November 2018 06:57 PM

True democracy. Please put Sajith into the system and make him run as Premier. If this doesn't change then they'll find some way to keep causing this drama disturbing any development till the next elections.

    bo Tuesday, 13 November 2018 06:58 PM

Oh yes, says the crab. But wait until the pot boils.

    Sofia Tuesday, 13 November 2018 06:59 PM

Yes democracy won and we are happy but you must give over UNP leadership and go with Malik and Sagala to the back benches to only raise your hand for a vote. Otherwise UNP is doomed.

Vana Bambara Tuesday, 13 November 2018 07:00 PM

President should realise that Ranil "Floats like a Butterfly" (Samanalaya) and "Stings like a Bee"

    Ronnie Tuesday, 13 November 2018 07:03 PM

If by some miracle he survives this episode nothing will change. Lanka will go back to the ineffective, chaotic politics that rw and crew brings with them.

Retired Army Officer Tuesday, 13 November 2018 07:05 PM

We salute the Supreme Court Decision .But we do not want to see you and your henchmen destroying our beloved motherland. Please step down giving the leadership to the young blood

    Apolitical Tuesday, 13 November 2018 07:07 PM

If this is your beloved country, please do step down and retire from all politics. Not only you, MS. and MR. too. And the rest of the jokers. You have guided this nation in to a dark Abyss. We are literally the Joke of Asia. Please! That's the only dignified thing you can do after restoring democracy and rule of law in the country.

    Citizen Tuesday, 13 November 2018 07:11 PM

The people's biggest victory will be the day you leave politics

    sandy123 Tuesday, 13 November 2018 07:13 PM

Even he got mud from the top to bottom including his own party he never panic and angry. The faith and the strong believe which he have is a miracle. I can proudly tell that no one can compare with him at any given time.

Kevin Perera Tuesday, 13 November 2018 07:15 PM

What a loser are you? Go before the people and hold elections if you have the guts. Your treacherous drama will be over soon. People will soon have their right to vote. Don't think you won the war. This is set a bigger defeat and please do remember it!

    Sunil Tuesday, 13 November 2018 07:19 PM

Wait until the next election to see who the real winners are.

    Sagara Tuesday, 13 November 2018 07:21 PM

Happy to see that democracy is won. But it doesn’t mean RW should be in the power. We have lost faith on you as well like MY3If you really wanted to have a Yahapalanaya you do not act the way did in Central Bank case. It proved that you too didn’t want Yahapalanaya. This is not what people like us expected when we voted you Mr Clean.

    Gemunu Tuesday, 13 November 2018 07:26 PM

Hats off to the political parties, organisations and individuals that submitted Fundamental Rights Petitions to the Supreme Court seeking justice and requesting to uphold the constitution. We cannot thank you enough. All law abiding citizens of Sri Lanka will not forget your great contribution to uphold the country's constitution and democracy.

    Samson Tuesday, 13 November 2018 07:36 PM

People will win when MS and you give up your positions.

    Ron Tuesday, 13 November 2018 07:39 PM

People call mr a dictator but remember its rw that wants to rule without having elections. Mr would win an election tomorrow if held

    Apolitical Tuesday, 13 November 2018 08:47 PM

How shallow you can be? It's not about who will win an election. But their credibility and integrity that matter. People in this country are pure stupid. That's why we are in this mess. Why do we want rogues, thugs and criminals to represent us in any level.

    TONY Tuesday, 13 November 2018 07:40 PM

RW SHOULD NOT GET LOST IN THIS VICTORY. PREPARE FOR ELECTIONS. BRING CHANGES TO THE UNP. MORE PEOPLE WILL BACK UNPT IF PARTY BRINGS ABOUT NECESSARY CHANGES

    Kanna Tuesday, 13 November 2018 07:48 PM

And 2nd one is when you give it to sajith and move on ....!!
