Mahinda Amaraweera new UPFA General Secretary

Fisheries Minister Mahinda Amaraweera has been appointed as the UPFA General Secretary, party sources said.

The decision was taken at the UPFA Executive Committee meeting which was held today with the participation of President Maithripala Sirisena.

He was appointed to the position which was left vacant after the demise of Prof. Vishwa Warnapala. (Ajantha Kumara Agalakada)
