Sri Lanka's Kusal Perera was stretchered into a waiting ambulance after a nasty fielding incident shortly before dinner on the third day of the third Test in Barbados.

Perera was fielding at long-on from the bowling of Dilruwan Perera, when West Indies tailender Shannon Gabriel launched the ball high and in his general direction.

The Sri Lankan opener made a spectacular interception on the rope, but the momentum from his diving grab took him well beyond the boundary and into the advertising hoarding surrounding the outfield..(Cricket Network)

It's really sad our boys are all injury prone. Study each case you will find they are very fragile except the seasoned few in the side. This is one area our administrators should concentrate.

Watch the video - this is nothing to do with fitness any human who falls like that will get injured. Only thing Authorities can do to prevent something like this is to make the players wear armour

The grounds must be free of advertisement boards, at least 3 m beyond the boundary line, to prevent these sorts of mishaps. Players had been negligent of their safety, by not protesting to keep such boards, at a safe distance.

Those who allow these hoardings to be erected should think twice about the safety of the players. We wish Kusal a speedy recovery.
