A Bell 206 helicopter was damaged during takeoff in Hingurakgoda SLAF Camp, Air Force Spokesman Group Captain Chandima Alwis said.
The spokesman said the chopper flown by a trainee pilot during a training session had tilted to a side during takeoff. The pilot was not injured but the chopper was damaged in the incident. (Darshana Sanjeewa)

Good. I hope they ground ALL the Air Force helicopters now. I live in Attidiya, and the past few days was like being in hell with these copters flying round and round between 6.00 p.m. and 8.00 p.m. Was that training too I wonder?
