A Navy diver was killed while repairing a faulty sluice gate of the Nagadeepa Reservoir in Rideemaliyadda today, Police said.
He was a member of a group of four divers and according to reports he was trapped under the sluice gate while attempting to repair it.
The 34-year-old Navy diver Sumith Chandana Kumara was found dead on admission to the Uraniya Hospital.
He was a resident of Mahakanadarawa.
